Travel

Shuttler uses vehicles with 3-point belts. For safety reasons, children up to 12 years are required to make use of special seats. Shuttler regularly carries seat boosters for children above 15 kg, children above 15 kg can therefore travel without further precautions, but can bring their own child seat if they wish to do so. 

Shuttler does not have child seats for children under 15 kg on board, it is mandatory for children under 15 kg to bring their own child seat. Unannounced children under 15 kg who do not bring their own child seat can not be transported.

Children can not stay in the baby buggy. Folding baby buggies can be transported in the luggage compartment.  

Boarding or leaving the car outside the indicated stops is possible, provided this does not significantly extend the travel time. If you wish to get on board from a place outside the indicated stops, Shuttler charges a fee of CHF 15 per additional stop. Please inform us via our contact form.

For safety reasons, passengers with reduced mobility must notify their special needs at least 24 hours before departure. Shuttler and its partners will assist in various ways to ensure a smooth journey. However, for safety and legal reasons, passengers who need to remain seated in their wheelchair during the journey cannot be transported. In this case, we will assist you with other transport options.

No. The electronic ticket on the smartphone or tablet is sufficient. However you need to be able to identify yourself as the person on the ticket.

Shuttler can not wait for delayed passengers. In case of late arrival, the ticket expires.

Please arrive at the bus stop at least 5 minutes before departure. In case of non-appearance at the time of departure, the ticket expires.

No, that’s impossible. A booking is currently only possible via www.shuttler.ch.

Yes. Bookings can be canceled using the cancellation form on the website up to 12 hours prior to departure. We refund the full ticket price on a voucher. If you want the money back we will deduce a 10 CHF fee per booking.

This can have multiple causes, but the e-mail may have landed in the spam folder. If the e-mail address is incorrect, the ticket can be requested again via the contact form.

Online you pay your ticket with PayPal or Credit Card.

At the moment payment is possible online with PayPal or credit card. We work on the possibility to purchase the tickets offline from partners.

No. The electronic ticket on the smartphone or tablet is sufficient. However you need to be able to identify yourself as the person on the ticket.

The easiest way to book tickets is www.shuttler.ch. Unfortunately the payment online is currently only possible with PayPal or credit cards. All major credit cards are accepted through PayPal.

General

Shuttler is a provider of mobility services with the aim of supplementing the public transport system in Switzerland by modern, demand-oriented mobility. Shuttler currently operates between Zurich, Lucerne, Interlaken.

An animal must be registered 24 hours before departure. Please contact the operator of your vehicle. Animals can be transported in a box, dogs can stay in the passenger area if they do not move and are positioned in a safe way. A fee of 9 CHF will be applied. Small animals, which can be transported in hand luggage, such as fish, do not need to be registered.

Scheduled intermediate stops for longer breaks can not be provided. If a toilet is urgently required, please inform the driver who will immediately drive to the next toilet.

Shuttler is not a classic long-distance bus provider, but a kind of long-distance minibus taxi. Shuttler thus has no numbered licence or concession. Shuttler has all the necessary permits for the professional transport of persons. Transportation with vehicles with less than 10 seats was liberalized in 2010 (more information here)

According to our General Terms and Conditions, the following baggage is free of charge:

-one piece of hand luggage with a maximum size of 42 * 30 * 18 cm and a maximum weight of 7 kg that can brought into the passenger compartment.
-one travel bag with a maximum size of 50 * 30 * 80 cm and a maximum weight of 20 kg.


For further and larger items of baggage, such as large instruments, skis, surfboards or golf equipment, are charged with a fee of CHF 9.- per bag is charged. Additional luggages can be added in the booking process. Luggage that is bigger than 50 * 30 * 80 cm can only be transported if space is available. In every case, additional luggage can not be heavier than 30 kg and can not extend a maximum length of 200 cm. In case of more than one additional luggage and luggage exceeding the measures, we strongly recommend to contact the operating partner in advance.

Shuttler is a private company and is therefore not obliged to participate in the timetable procedure by the Swiss Federal Office of Transportation.

We highly recommend booking in advance. Several stops are only served when passengers are booked and you risk missing your vehicle without a booking.
